The Institute of Philippine Culture, Dr. Rosita G. Leong School of Social Sciences of the Ateneo de Manila University, is now accepting applications to the Mary Racelis Internship Program for Undergraduates (MRIPU), which will run from 22 June 2026 to 14 August 2026.
The two-month program is intended for incoming third-year and fourth-year undergraduates interested in acquiring valuable research experience toward a career in research, social development, communications, and public health. The program offers a series of reflexive learning/training sessions grounded on the institute’s core competencies, as well as inclusive spaces for interns’ own kumustahan-kwentuhan.
Interns will join IPC teams currently working on projects related to knowledge dissemination, global education, gender diversity/minority, everyday political life, and digital health applications, among others. They will take part in document preparation and review, primary data collection and analysis, online/archival research, webinar planning and support, online event and meeting preparation, and research/project coordination.
The IPC welcomes applicants with a background/experience in research methods, social sciences, humanities, and public health/health science. A strong foundation in gender studies and online research applications is an advantage. We encourage undergraduates from the National Capital Region (NCR) and other regions of the country, as long as they are able to report to the office at the Ateneo de Manila University campus, Katipunan Avenue, Brgy. Loyola Heights, Quezon City, Philippines to participate in this Internship program.

A letter of recommendation from your research methods course instructor or department chair/unit head must be sent directly to Ms. Shyl Sales, IPC Program and Administrative Officer (ipc.soss@ateneo.edu) by the recommending person.
