eHealth Training on Unified Resources Online

The eHealth Training on Unified Resources Online (eTURO) project is funded by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD). The project supports capacity building activities of the National eHealth Program of the Department of health by providing, cataloging, and advertising short courses and programs on health and related fields. These courses are delivered through online channels such as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and face-to-face instruction. The eTURO team plans to provide a centralized platform that consolidates eHealth and other health-related training programs and materials for ease of access of health professionals and community health workers seeking additional training and certification.

The eTURO team conducted focus grop discussions and key informant interviews with the following objectives: 1) to have a baseeline on the current capacities and opinions of the Philippine health community on eLearning; 2) to learn the challenges and good practices in eLearning; 3) to discover the various training needs of various health professionals; and 4) to ascertain the utilizatioon of eLearning in the Philippines.
