IPC launches monograph on eHealth in the Philippines

Last 7 December 2017, the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) – Institute of Philippine Culture (IPC) launched a monograph titled “Breaking Ground for HATID ASEAN: Proceedings of Regional Technical Meetings (Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines) on eHealth Technologies for Local Government Units,” during the Learning Interaction on eHealth Technologies in ASEAN conference held at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza.

The monograph is a product of the Health Technologies for Informed Decision-making in the ASEAN (HATID ASEAN) project of the IPC based on the outputs from consultative meetings and workshops held in Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines that commenced in 2016.

Dr. Maria Elissa Jayme Lao, IPC director, and Dr. Dennis B. Batangan, IPC research associate, presented copies of the monograph to distinguished participants of the conference, namely: Ms Charity Tan, Chief of the Knowledge and Management Division of the Department of Health; Ms Carina L. Rebulanan, Chief Science Research Specialist of the Institution Development Division of Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD); Mr. Vince Tumlos, Science Research Specialist of the PCHRD; Dr. Anna Teresa de Guzman, Provincial Health Officer II of the Province of Pangasinan; Ms Kencana Sari from the Center of Public Health Research and Development of the National Institute of Health Research and Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Health; and Ms Natsuda Kasisopha from the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center of Thailand.
