Together with the U.P. Center for Leadership, Citizenship and Democracy, Ideacorp, Philippine Social Science Council; the Philippine ICT Research Network, and Intel Philippines, the Institute of Philippine Culture organized the “First Philippine Conference on ICT for Philippine Development.” Held on 21-22 September 2012 at the Auditorium of the Philippine Social Science Center in Diliman, Quezon City, the conference featured the following plenary presentations:
Dr. Albert Muyot (Undersecretary, DepEd) – “ICT and Child Pornography: Issues and Challenges” 
Dr. John Ure (Director, TRPC, Singapore) – “Asia Internet Coalition: Keeping the Internet Safe”
Mr. John Roman (Director, Intel Corporate Affairs Group) – “Universal Access and Development”

The conference panels also discussed the following topics:
 
         * Cybersex, cybercrime, pornography and privacy
         * ICTs and Migration
         * Telehealth
         * New Media/Social Media and Society
         * ICTs and Minorities
         * e-Governance
         * Practice of ICTD in the Philippines
