Celebrating 50 years of Social Science in the Philippines

The Institute of Philippine Culture (IPC) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this September through a month-long series of events. Among these are a lecture series, public fora, book launch, and exhibit to highlight the current research of the IPC.Last September 15, 2010, a grand homecoming of all those who have been part of the IPC since 1960 was held at the Frank Lynch grounds. The event  began with a mass at 9am officiated by Fr. Noel D. Vasquez, SJ. A communal story-telling at 3:00pm at the Social Development Complex Auditorium was facilitated by Dr. Ricardo Abad, former IPC director.
