Where's the BYF in 4Ps? Making Communities Child Friendly through Social Protection Programmes

This client-focused evaluation research focused on eliciting the views and perspectives of Pantawid Pamilya members, among them parents, children and youth, as well as the various service providers, and local officials regarding the implementation processes and procedures of the Pantawid Pamilya, the ways in which the situation of children and their families have improved or not improved, and the recommendations to improve Pantawid Pamilya and UNICEF's support to Pantawid Pamilya.

In particular, this research posed the following questions:

  1. How does BYF complement and support the goals of the national CCT program?
  2. What is the role of the local bodies in Pantawid Pamilya implementation?
  3. How have the Pantawid Pamilya and BYF benefited the recipient-households?
  4. In what ways have the situation of men, women, and children improved/not improved?
  5. How can support to Pantawid Pamilya and BYF be further improved?
