Values of Manileños as Derived from Projective Tests

The object of the investigation is to make a study of the Filipino’s values, specifically those of Manileños. What are those things toward which he entertains strong positive attitudes? What does he consider “good”? What are the mainsprings of his life and actions? An understanding of these values is an aid toward understanding the Filipino. Some of the values derived from the study are: (1) emotional closeness and security in family; (2) authority value; (3) economic and social betterment; and (4) patience, suffering, and endurance.
