The Textile Industry and its Women Workers: Philippine-Japan Comparative Study, Phase II

A second phase of Project 153, the study sought to:

  • determine the impact of industrialization on society and on women in particular;
  • ascertain whether the increasing technological complexity of the textile industry has advanced status or improved welfare of workers; and
  • look into management policies which affected status of workers in the company and workers in general.
