Poverty Dynamics in the Philippines: Using the Decomposition Techniques in Determining Chronic and Transient Poverty in the Philippines

The research provided policy prescriptions to fight chronic poverty and transient poverty and recommended policies to prevent households to be stuck in the poverty trap. The analyses undertaken are the following: (a) nationally for the Philippines, (b) regionally for all regions in the Philippines, and (c) special groups such as the urban poor, the rural poor, female-headed households and indigenous peoples/ethnic minorities (as long as there were enough sample households in these categories).
