Policy Analysis on Social Forestry

This project concerned a review of major policies directly relevant to Philippine social forestry, identifying those elements which impeded or enhanced the capacity of the BFD and upland residents to develop more effective participatory approaches to the management of upland or forest resources. Special emphasis was placed on conflict between policies, conflict between the agencies involved, overlapping or redundant policies, overlapping functions of the agencies involved, gaps in the policies, avenues for people participation, and impediments to people participation.
