Increasing the Role of Women in the Development Process

The study measured the impact of USAID development programs in enhancing the economic and social role of women in the development process. It focused on procedures for looking at ways in which women were sharing or not sharing in the resources, and on skills and other benefits derived from development assistance programs in general as well as those geared to special objectives: equitable income distribution and improved levels of living, increased agricultural productivity, expanded employment, reduced population growth, lower infant-child mortality, improved environmental conditions, and more economic use of energy.
