Global, Continental, Philippine and Metropolitan-Manila Poverty: Comparative Spatio-Temporal Analyses through Remote Sesning-Geographic Information System (RS-GIS)

Poverty maps of the Philippines and Metropolitan Manila, generated applying Satellite Remote Sensing and/or Geographic Information System, existed for 1997 and 2000. The project sought to update these maps, using 2003 statistical data, for which four poverty statistics were chosen: incidence of poor families, subsistence incidence, poverty gap, and severity of poverty.
