Connecting and Sustaining Health Research Communities: Integrating a Sector Wide Approach to the eHealth Philippines Agenda

The project's objective is to integrate the Sector Wide Approach and a Sustainability Model in the eHealth Philippines' agenda, supporting health programs, advocacies, and projects that facilitate stakeholder convergence and public advocacy toward broader research partnerships and collaboration.

The project has the following specific objectives:

1. Develop with partners an enhanced eHealth Philippines organizational and management structure to address the eHealth sustainability and community-building objectives;

2. Assist existing stakeholders and health groups working with PCHRD and eHealth Philippines to utilize the community-building, and networking features of the eHealth Philippines website;

3. Enhance the functionalities of the eHealth.Ph website to include a mobile Tablet component, video conferencing functions, community and user profile overview, and user-driven generation of mailing lists and newsletters;

4. Conduct eHealth online discussions and public forums on identified eHealth Agenda and community topics to generate broad-based support for eHealth PH;

5. Conduct consultations for the ICT for Health research agenda of National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA) using the new eHealth PH website; and

6. Conduct online consultation on identification of topics for 2014 Global Health Research Forum.
